Stunning Views

Stunning views from our floor to ceiling windows.

Dogs Welcome

Your four legged friends are welcome to enjoy the lodge.

When the hustle and bustle has become too much… When you’re tired, stressed out and you can’t remember the last time it was just the two of you together… It’s time for a change of scenery.

Imagine your own rural paradise…

A place where the River Severn flows past the bottom of your garden. Kingfishers flash across the water. And you might even glimpse an otter or two.

Where you can sit back with a coffee (or something stronger) and chat without being interrupted. Walk to the local pub for a drink and something to eat. Simply enjoying the breathtaking scenery and the contentment of being alive, with nothing else to do.

All this is possible at The Boat House Lodge.

The Lodge

Relax together at the Boat House Lodge

The Boat House Lodge is your home-from-home open plan apartment located in Wroxeter, a historic and picturesque village 6 miles from Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

Newly-refurbished, everything has been carefully chosen to make your getaway enjoyable and relaxing… Expect a welcome hamper of seasonal or local produce on your arrival.

Sink into silky, soft sheets on the super-king bed or curl up on a comfy sofa. There’s a well equipped kitchen in case you want to make something delicious from the local produce you’ve found out and about.

Oh, and don’t forget the gorgeous views! The Boat House Lodge is waiting for you.

Outstanding hospitality

The Boat House Lodge is absolutely beautiful, very well presented and equipped with everything you need. We both loved the location, the relaxing views over the river, everything is just amazing.

Thank you for the home-made bread. It was lovely. We enjoyed every mouthful.

Rest, recharge, and re-energise in Shropshire

Shropshire is simply magnificent.

Stunning scenery. Pretty market towns. Delicious food. And so much history… in fact we’ve found Roman and Medieval pottery in the garden! (Wroxeter Roman City is just up the road!)

Whether you want to shut yourself away in your own “Boat House Bubble” or get out and about to explore Shropshire’s treasures, here’s our guide for you.

An ideal location to explore Shropshire

Thank you for such a fabulous stay at the Boat House Lodge. The Lodge is beautifully presented and has everything you need for your stay.

The location is ideal to explore the Shropshire countryside.

Would recommend trying the walks in the Shropshire Walks Pack of Cards. We did the walk near Ironbridge and the “Sheep Shape the Mynd” walk which was enjoyed by ourselves and our two cocker spaniels.

Thanks again!

Well-behaved dogs are welcome

With lots of land to run around on, an enclosed garden, and plenty of dog-friendly pubs nearby, the Boat House Lodge makes a stylish choice if you’re a dog owner.

There’s more than enough space for a crate in the Lodge, so your dog can enjoy a break and plenty of walks with you too. All we ask is that you keep the soft furnishings for people, not pets.

Two dogs are allowed at the Boat House Lodge

dog relaxing on lodge grounds

Wow, what an amazing place!

You have thought of everything, from the lovely toiletries to the freshly made bread, and the beautiful smells from the diffusers to the fresh flowers. You have missed nothing.

The garden was especially enjoyed by Milo, but was a peaceful place to sit after a busy day exploring.

The location was great and we had some lovely days out at Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Ludlow and the dog show at Apley Farm Shop to name a few.

Thank you for making our holiday a special one.
